A must buy for anyone in retail!

I work in retail and I deal with upset and stressed out customers on a nearly daily basis. This book is a lifesaver. It gives to the point advice about how to deal with a wide variety of possible problems that come up in customer interactions and help you take control over the situation. The title really doesn't do it justice. It doesn't speak to the breadth of information the book contains. I highly recommend it and for under $10 it will repay you in a less stressful work environment.

You Don't Have To Be Perfect, But Don't Stand There Looking Stupid In Front of a Guest.

One of the biggest challenges for most employees who are working for someone else is that they do not know what to say when certain situations present themselves. I like the way Perfect Phrases helps with that situation so an employee will have some rebuttal to a guest who is not knowledgeable or misinformed about a product or service. Many employees are afraid to make a statement that might put them in a position where they have an aggravated guest who might complain thus putting the employees job on the line, or they are simply not aware of what their options might be. So, here you go. Here are some options for you employee and manager to help you say the right thing. This book was better than I expected although with many years of experience I could anticipate some of the recommendations, but not all. James L. Bought this for my son-in-law when he started his new job. The book was excellent-- it brought up many situations that you hope never to encounter. My daughter who works with the public all the time enjoyed it also. What it does is prime your brain with some ideas on how to handle difficult situations, so that thinking on your feet is easier.

About the Author
Kato Masao was born in Fukuoka Japan on the 15th of March 1947. Kato joined Kitani Minoru's go dojo in 1959, In 1964 he became a shodan. In 1973 he was promoted to 8-dan. In 1967 he scored a magnificent tally of 37 wins to only 8 losses and set a record by becoming the first 4-dan to qualify for the Honinbo League. He won his first title by beating Otake in the first Gosei title in 1976. Kato went on to win 46 total titles, fourth most in Japan behind Cho Chikun, Sakata Eio and Kobayashi Koichi. At one point, Kato held four of the top 7 titles: Meijin, Oza, Judan and Gosei. Kato was elected president of the Nihon Ki-in and International Go Federation in early 2004. Under his lead, he eliminated the Oteai, instead introducing new rules to help deal with rank inflation that had occurred over the years. He also increased komi from 5.5 points to 6.5 points and shortened thinking time. Later in the year, Kato fell ill and was hospitalized. He underwent a successful operation on 10 December, but his condition worsened a few weeks later. Kato died on 30 December 2004.

Excellent Go book for the low-kyu player.

Kato's Attack and Kill offers the low-kyu player the insight of the feared professional who earned the name "The Killer." Many books discuss attacks and threats, but this one gives us explicit examples of actual kills, as well as the tesugi essential to effect them. Attack and Kill will help kyu-level players work toward Shodan and solidify their understanding of the balance of power, and will offer Dan-level players a discussion of a topic rarely mentioned elsewhere.
The material is presented well, and the book is enjoyable to read.

Randy R. Rapp is an associate professor of Building Construction Management at Purdue University. He has muddied his footwear on many project sites over the years. Most recently, while with Kellogg, Brown & Root (KBR), he served in project controls and operations for Hurricane Katrina, as logistics manager for Hurricane Wilma, and as project controls manager and deputy program general manager for the Restore Iraqi Oil program. Rapp has contributed to professional and trade organizations’ educational work, consulted, and written varied management articles and several construction books.

Bradley L. Benhart is a clinical professor of Building Construction Management at Purdue University. His previous position was vice president with Pepper Construction Company. While at Pepper, Benhart was a group leader who managed multiple projects ranging from $100,000 to $250 million. He also has been an adjunct professor at Northwestern University’s Master of Project Management program.

when i was about 11years old,i came across this book back home in west africa.it is a story about an egyptian royal family.ramses .it is captivating to the point where,it made me to cry,laugh,and be kept in feverish suspense,but at the same time gave me an understanding of what power,position greed,and betrayal means. an absolute must read.

Excellent Read - You Definitely DON"T Get What You Paid For

OK, I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical when I saw this "free" book written in the 1800s. I wouldn't exactly characterize myself as a learned reader of literary classics. I had just received my Kindle and figured, what have I got to loose?

I was absolutely pulled in by this story and had problems putting it down. It's a captivating mystical love story about an Egyptian princess. This was the first Haggard book that I've ever read and I will definitely download his more famous literary works to read in the future.

Rider haggard at his best. This amazing Fantasy story takes place in ancient Egypt. The hero, a prince, has to go through many extreme challenges to win the throne and the heart of his beloved women. The book gives a great insight on Egyptian religions and culture. It is a great book for Egyption culture fans, adventure and fantasy lovers, and for anyone else too...

A must read!

Definitely recommend the book. Our daughter was diagnosed with scoliosis about 4 years ago. 56 Cobb and scheduled for surgery. Trying to avoid surgery, after tons of research online, we found Dr Weiss and decided to go see him at his clinic in Germany. It was the best decision we made. She got a brace made, they taught her the Schroth method and 3 years later her back curve improved to 30 Cobb and absolutely no back pain. Keep in mind when she was first diagnosed we were told that absolutely nothing can improve her curve but surgery! She wore her brace 23h a day and the brace was very comfortable. She is the girl in the picture on the front cover. That's our success story! 4 years ago, we had to fly to Germany from Boise, ID. Today you can find those back braces, and can learn the Schroth Method in the US. The book is a must read, it will open your eyes. You can be the next success story!

Not for seniors.

Too tedious. Doesn't address elderly scoliosis. I was, at 83, recently diagnosed. Perhaps I have had the condition since childhood masked by advanced ballet work for 50 years. This is for young people. Boo. I gave it to my physical therapists. Maybe they'll get something out of it.
